Since everything that has happened is over now, I can finally write in this again.

I can't believe it, real dragons! It was a bit scary when the first dragon crashed into the Gryffindor tower, true, but once we were all in a safe place, it was better. I wanted to get a closer at them, because who knows when I could get another chance, but every time I tried, a teacher or one of the dragon handlers would stop me and send me back. I was always at a safe distance, but they still....anyway, I saw dragons!

I'm glad everyone is all right and that they managed to rebuild everything so quickly. But my things...I'll have to buy everything again.

Well, that was odd. Right after I wished that I could get more than more letter from Papa, a school owl appeared with a letter from him. This would have been normal, except for the fact that the it repeated all throughout the day, about every two hourse.

Now, I have twelve letters from Papa. I can see in them his feelings about the whole thing: first, he was excited about having time to write me another letter, then it shifted into wonder about why he was writing so much...and then it finally escalated to worry about what has happened to him by the fifth letter. After the flood of letters stopped, on the next day, I wrote him a letter, explaning that it was a probably the castle up to its pranks again. I hope he'll be more at ease now.

Speaking of castle tricks, maybe that ordeal with the letters wasn't random. I saw other people getting various things and saying that they appeared right after they wished for them. I wonder...I always wanted to see what a date was like. I've been on many outings, but I think a date is different. I wish that I could go on a date.

I know that Papa only sends me one letter a month because he's either busy inventing, or being his absent-minded self. But...it would nice to receive more than one letter.

I wish it could happen, but it's probably not likely. I guess I'm just a bit homesick now that Easter has come and gone, that's all.

I was living in an enchanted castle (not Hogwarts) and there were a talking clock, a talking teapot and teacup, a talking candlestick...only they were actual people who got enchanted along with their master: a prince who became a beast.

I...fell in love with him and he with me and that's why the spell was broken eventually and he returned to being human along with the rest.

His name was Adam...and we were about to get married when I found myself at Hogwarts...

But I'm glad to have things back to normal. Well, as normal as it can get around here.

I hadn't the time to write because I was very busy with doing all the homework I was given. I thought sixth year was supposed to be the year we relax and take it easy. Oh well.

Louis went away. He just disappeared one night and apparently that happened to the other babies as well. I know he wasn't a real baby, but I miss him all the same. At least now I know that I'll be a good parent when the time comes.

Then, came the trip to Griggots and St Mungo's Hospital. I enjoed it very much. I've been in the bank before, but this time I wanted to see the dragons that I heard guarding the extremely important vaults, but I couldn't do it because the tour was too quick. Just imagine, dragons! Live ones and not in stories! I want to see them someday. I've never been in the St Mungo's. It was so exciting! The work that the Healers and Mediwizards do is very interesting.

Oh! And I got a letter from Papa. He says everything is fine and that he completed his invention. I wonder if it's working properly...there was a little bit of soot on the parchment.

The baby is so cute! It's true that he takes a lot of work but it's worth it: he smiled at me right now.

I guess all those books I read about babies when I was little paid off. I bet Papa will be proud of me, considering those books were his way of telling me about "the birds and the bees".

But he really does need a name. I thought about "Louis", what about you, Toris?

Those extra hours in the library paid off, I got an E in Defense Against the Dark Arts.

I think I'll go get that book I found there the other day, I didn't have the time before.

An attack at Hogsmede?

I finally found my journal! I lost it around the end of May and thought that it was around the dorm but, eventually I found it in my trunk, when I wanted to read a book that was there. It lay hidden underneath a couple of books. Apparently, I put it there when I was packing and forgot about it. I guess I'm just as absent-minded as my father sometimes...

Anyway, I suppose I don't have to introduce myself at this point, but I will just in case: My name is Belle and I'm a sixth year Gryffindor. You can usually find me in the library or the courtyard, just look for a girl with a blue ribbon.

I am a bit rusty with using this, but this will do for now.

I received a letter from Papa! As always, he is very excited about getting my letter by owl, he thinks it's a marvelous thing and wonders why Muggles can't use a mail system like that. I think he wouldn't mind if I get an owl of my own. It's always so much trouble borrowing the school owls.

He writes that he is working on a new invention that has to do with shortening the time of taking a bath. I hope he won't overexert himself like he did with the last one. Imagine my horror when I returned home for the summer and Martha told me that he was in the local hospital! He collapsed from exhaustion because he hardly ate or slept in the past three days, and refused Martha's pleas that he rests and eats. And his sickness worsened also. Luckily, he managed to recuperate and his sickness is at bay now. But Papa will be Papa and he will never rest until the whole world recognizes him as a great inventor, even if I already think he is one.

I better hurry and send him a reply, otherwise he will get worried. I need to tell him that I'm coming home for the break.
